My name is Elena Prosvirova and I am the founder of the "Russian Without Borders" school in Los Angeles.
The school I head for bilingual children has been operating since 2016 as a weekend school (classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays).
The mission of our education is to help bilingual children immersed in the American environment preserve their native language by gently introducing them to the richest world of great Russian culture.
To this end, we teach children attending our classes to write correctly and read fluently in Russian, paying special attention to speech development. On a regular basis, the school offers lessons in native language, mathematics, and drawing. In addition, children learn to play chess, theater and arts and crafts.
On the initiative and with the active participation of experienced enthusiastic teachers, our school annually organizes costume celebrations for the New Year, Maslenitsa, March 8 and other celebrations in the original Russian style.
A huge number of our compatriots and other residents of neighboring countries who speak the same language as us have emigrated to Los Angeles. Many of the newly arrived Russian-speaking families with children simply do not have the means to pay for additional classes at our weekend school. And we are trying to find every opportunity to support these people and take part in their fate as much as possible.
Unfortunately, our financial resources are limited. Among other immigrants, there are many highly qualified teachers who, due to their lack of knowledge of English at the proper level and for other reasons, cannot find employment in American schools. And who are also counting on our help and support.

The number of applicants is so large and growing every year that we are considering finding a more spacious space in the foreseeable future.
The Russian Without Borders school deservedly has an excellent reputation in California's vast Russian-speaking community. Our independent educational institution has received a lot of enthusiastic and grateful feedback from the parents of our students and teachers.
This helps us realize that we are doing a useful and useful job, inspires and encourages our team of like-minded people to grow, develop and work tirelessly for the benefit of a mentally healthy Russian-speaking Los Angeles.
I would like to ask you to take part in raising funds for the School Development Fund. The collected funds will be used to pay rent, repair and protect the premises. And also to encourage teachers at our educational institution who generously share their knowledge and diligently instill love for Russian culture, original national traditions and native language.
We welcome any support and involvement in the life of our school!
